June 15, 2001, Newsletter Issue #23: SUMMER STARS

Tip of the Week

Take along binoculars and a star chart for sighting constellations and special sky features. Nights around the time of the new moon make the best viewing. Several science or astronomy magazines provide good information about what is visible in your sky at different times of the night during the summer. Certainly check online for one of the many star webpages. You might even find the beginning of an award winning science project awaits you under the stars.
