April 5, 2002, Newsletter Issue #39: Write Better

Tip of the Week

Do you hate to write? Are your letters hard to read? Here is an easy way to write. Think of each letter as in a box. Write each letter in its box.

Here is how to write an A. Start at the top of the box. Slide to the bottom left. Now start at the top again. Slide to the bottom right. Now draw a line over the middle. Think and say: slide, slide, over.

Here is how to write a B. Think and say: down, loop, loop.

For an R, think and say: down, loop, slide.

For a T, think and say: over, down.

Write all letters like this. Think how each letter looks in a box. Then say how you write it. It is easy to make good letters this way.
