April 13, 2001, Newsletter Issue #15: You`ll be History Someday, too!

Tip of the Week

You probably write down how you think and feel about things in letters, notes, or even a diary. People from the past did the same thing. Try to find letters or a diary written by an historic person. Reading the private thoughts of a president or of a former slave can bring them to life for you. You will find that they had many feelings and experiences in common with you. Hopefully, someday a young person in the future will read what you wrote and find a connection with today.
