May 24, 2002, Newsletter Issue #46: Friends in a Word

Tip of the Week

Most people you know could be described many ways, but try coming up with just one word that fits them perfectly. Adjectives like vivacious, ubiquitous, magnanimous, or flamboyant could apply. Use your dictionary or a thesaurus to change ordinary words into spectacular one-word decriptions. You could use these new words for introductions or to spice up conversations. What´s more effective? "How are you?" or "How´s Magnanimous Manny doing today?" Be sure you really understand the definition, of course, before applying it!
